# Overview
> Documentation for op8x, free tools for x402 sellers.
op8x builds free tools for x402 sellers. x402 is the standard that lets an API answer with HTTP 402 and get paid by agents and other clients. These pages describe the tools and the terms they use.
## Tools
[Section titled “Tools”](#tools)
* [CLI](/tools/cli/): checks an x402 endpoint from the command line.
* [Analytics module](/tools/analytics/): records one metadata entry per request in your seller server.
## For agents
[Section titled “For agents”](#for-agents)
Agents can read these docs as plain Markdown. See [For agents](/for-agents/).

# For agents
> How agents can read the op8x docs as plain text.
These docs are available in forms that are easy for agents to read.
* [llms.txt](https://docs.op8x.com/llms.txt): a short index of the docs with a link to the Markdown version of every page.
* [llms-full.txt](https://docs.op8x.com/llms-full.txt): the full text of the docs in one file.
* Every page as Markdown: add `.md` to the page path. For example, `/tools/cli/` is available as `/tools/cli.md`, and the start page as `/index.md`.
For the tools themselves, see the [CLI](/tools/cli/) and the [Analytics module](/tools/analytics/).
# Glossary
> Terms used in the op8x docs.
## x402
[Section titled “x402”](#x402)
An open standard that uses the HTTP status code 402 (Payment Required) so that an API can ask for payment and clients, including agents, can pay and retry. It is maintained under the Linux Foundation.
## seller
[Section titled “seller”](#seller)
The owner of an API or service that charges for requests with x402. op8x builds its tools for sellers.
## 402 challenge
[Section titled “402 challenge”](#402-challenge)
The response an x402 server sends when a request has no valid payment. It states what the server accepts as payment, and a client reads it to decide whether and how to pay.
# Analytics module
> The op8x request analytics module for x402 sellers on Cloudflare Workers.
The analytics module is a Hono middleware for x402 sellers on Cloudflare Workers. It writes one metadata record per request: whether it was unpaid, whether a 402 challenge was issued, whether a payment arrived, and whether the paid response was delivered. It fails open, so a recording problem never blocks a request.

# CLI
> The op8x command-line tool for x402 sellers.
The op8x CLI checks an x402 endpoint from the outside. It sends unpaid requests, reads the 402 challenge the way real clients do, and reports problems that make paying clients fail silently.
[Install and quickstart](https://github.com/op8x-com/x402-tools/tree/main/packages/cli#readme) are in the package README.
Check IDs are explained in the README section [What the hints mean](https://github.com/op8x-com/x402-tools/tree/main/packages/cli#what-the-hints-mean); for IDs it does not list, start at the README top.
Terms: see the [glossary](/glossary/).
